Since reopening last year after a fresh revamp, we have been creating a space where guests can relax, connect, and enjoy a little oasis in the city. Purpose
Reporting to the Venue Manager, as the Venue Host at Georgie you are the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for a warm and engaging experience. You’ll manage reservations, greet and seat guests, and ensure service runs smoothly all while maintaining Georgie’s warm and inviting atmosphere. With your expertise and attention to detail, you’ll help create memorable experiences that keep guests coming back for more.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage reservations for our intimate space, ensuring booking, confirmation, and adjustments are handled smoothly
- Keep track of the small but vibrant dining area and bar, coordinating with servers and management to maintain flow
- Supervise and train front of house staff, ensuring they provide warm, personalised service that matches Georgie’s friendly vibe
- Anticipate guests' needs and preferences to enhance their experience, resolving any concerns with a proactive approach
- Assist with administrative tasks, including phone calls, emails, and payment processing, to ensure everything runs smoothly
- Thrive in a boutique setting, handling multiple tasks while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar service role, with a solid understanding of food and beverage operations in a boutique venue
- Self-motivated with a genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences in an intimate setting
- Friendly, professional demeanour with the ability to confidently handle conflict resolution and guest complaints
- Excellent time management, communication, and rapport-building skills with both internal team members and external guests
- Flexibility to work across a range of shifts as required
