Purpose

 

As the Hotel Accountant, you will be an essential member of the Accor Shared Services team, playing a key role in review, reconciliation, reporting and support for a cluster of properties within the Accor Apartments & Realty portfolio.

 

This position is ideal for a competent Accountant or Assistant Accountant that is seeking to work in an exciting and dynamic environment whilst advancing their career


This role is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Role starts August 2025 to August 2026 approx. 

 

Primary Responsibilities                                                        

 

  • End of month preparation, review & reporting
  • Monthly/Annual - Financial report collation & distribution
  • Balance sheet preparation & maintenances
  • Monthly FBT data review, distribution, communication and full year report preparation
  • Monthly BAS review & assistance for unreconcilable accounts
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Assist in monthly forecasting preparation
  • Assist with internal audit control reviews
  • AR credit meeting attendance/ aged debt maintenance
  • Support Area Finance & Property teams in daily/annual requirements when required

 

 Skills and Experience

 

  • A minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance or Commerce
  • CA or CPA qualifications is a plus
  • Proven track record and strong understanding of management accounting
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills across a wide-range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight time frames
  • A can do attitude
