About the role 

The Specialist – Emergency Workforce & Response plays a pivotal role within the Emergency Response and Operations function. Focus on enhancing emergency preparedness and response capabilities within Tasmania. Integrate critical responsibilities across workforce development and emergency response to ensure efficient and effective response activities.

 

What you will bring 

  • Demonstrated sound technical knowledge and expertise in incident management, emergency response, or community engagement
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and engage a volunteer workforce
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and build relationships among diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to assess complex situations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work under general direction from senior employees and work with and lead teams and people from diverse backgrounds and create a collaborative working environment
