This is an important role in ensuring that Red Cross can build connected, sharing, and resilient communities.
The opportunity
Community Mobilisation Volunteers play a pivotal role in the Australian Red Cross. The Community Mobilisation Team works directly with the community to recruit new volunteers and members, and recognise and reward our existing volunteers and members.

- Hand delivering community newsletters and flyers to letterboxes
- Talking with members of the community about Red Cross and the work we do
- One-on-one digital technology support for potential and existing volunteers
- Calling and interviewing potential volunteers
- Recognising the valued contributions members and volunteers by providing service milestones and organising thank-you events

- Helping to provide a welcoming space for members of the community to share their time, resources, and passions with us
We will work with you to find a way for you to make a difference in your community. Good organisational skills, well developed computer skills, great verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team, as well as independently are all very desirable, but not a must.
Community Mobilisation Volunteers will gain valuable skills and experiences building community capacity and supporting volunteers to improve the world and build the Movement.
