The program

The External Engagement Volunteer is a dynamic and fun role that supports Australian Red Cross attending relevant external events to build brand awareness, connection to the suite of programs as well as promoting the benefits of volunteering for Australian Red Cross.

For this role you will need the ability to engage with Volunteers, Members and Community Members at face to face and online events. This may include (but not limited to) those with different lived experiences, abilities, and cultures. Information will be provided from the Australian Red Cross to support our volunteers and their impact in the community during these events.

Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the world’s largest humanitarian network.

The impact

As a volunteer, you’ll represent Australian Red Cross at community events, aid the organisation by connecting with community stakeholders, and raise awareness of the support available. By attending events, you’ll provide a friendly presence, offer information, and help build social connections through genuine conversation and empathy. This role gives you the chance to learn from the rich experiences of others while proudly representing Red Cross in the community and making a meaningful difference.
