The program 

The Employment program in Western Australia (WA) focuses on helping people gain meaningful employment outcomes. The Kaleidoscope Initiative (program) which this student placement role supports, aims to assist newly arrived and some established migrants into professional employment by connecting them with local employers and mentors. The opportunity 

For this role you will need to possess strong data analysis and administrative skills. You will also need to have demonstrated skills and experience in developing Power BI data and dashboards. You will have strong technical skills and the ability to discuss data matters with a broad range of people, including Red Cross IT teams, and those with different lived experiences, abilities, and cultures. You will be comfortable to learn the service’s web-based call management system. 

Red Cross will ensure you have ongoing support and access to completing your required tasks and agreed hours.

As a Data Support Student Placement, you will contribute to strong employment outcomes. You will have the opportunity to understand employment issues and trends in WA, and learn from diverse history and knowledge, as well as feeling the satisfaction of giving back to community and the wider society.

  • For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through the Australian Red Cross
