About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Events Specialist to join our National Marketing and Partnerships team, this is a permanent full time opportunity based in Sydney CBD.
Reporting to the National Events Manager, this role is responsible for driving our event and sponsorship strategy to support the business development teams in each state. Working closely with multiple stakeholders to support and execute national hosted and Avant sponsored events.
Key responsibilities:
- Support and execute the national hosted and sponsored events (face-to-face and online) program that creates acquisition, retention and cross-sell opportunities for the Avant Group, which align to the strategic Customer Solutions strategy.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maximise event ROI through tailored advertising and communication opportunities pre, during and post each event.
- Ensure high quality and efficient event support, controls and advice are in place, working in conjunction with the states and other key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the correct processes, documentation and proper action is taken to ensure the reporting of event outcomes is available and provide support for reporting as required.
Skills and experience required:
- 3-5 years' experience working in corporate events management or sponsorship, ideally within the medical or insurance sector
- Strong project management and budget management skills
- Strong communication, negotiation and management experience
- Excellent planning and delivery capability
- Strong problem solving skills, innovative thinking and drive to succeed
- Able to multi task and manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
