The Opportunity
Pittwater Palms Retirement Village is a welcoming community set amongst delightful tropical gardens, and conveniently located in Sydney’s northern beaches for all that coastal living has to offer. Joining the team as our Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance tasks around our retirement village. Working closely with the Community Manager, Maintenance Manager and fellow team members, you will ensure the overall village is well-maintained and presentable. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, a mix of hands-on light repairs and working in a small team.
This is a permanent Full-time opportunity working Tuesday to Saturday 8.00am-4.00pm (1.5x penalty rates apply to Saturday). Work/life balance is important to us, the Saturday shift can be reduced in hours and made up elsewhere if desired.
You will
- $34.43/hr + relevant Aged Care Award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation

You will
- Attend to various maintenance requests around the village (basic domestic repair tasks)
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks (e.g high-pressure cleaning, smoke alarm checks and bins etc.)
- Assist around the village by setting up for functions
- Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team!
What you'll bring
- Skilled in domestic repair tasks or a willingness to learn (e.g using tools, painting, mowing etc.)
- A genuine interest in learning new skills, being outdoors and hands-on who will enjoy chatting with residents!
- Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
- Two COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date (required)
