The Role 

This is a full-time Practice Manager position and presents a fantastic opportunity to support our close-knit teams and doctors, who are passionate about providing the highest standard of care to our diverse patient base. 

You will lead, manage, and support our employees and Health Care Professionals, ensuring operational excellence and a culture of safety, respect, and quality. 

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for all day-to-day operational requirements of running a professional medical centre, including staff management, centre improvements, compliance, and financial oversight. 

 
The Responsibilities 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing effective supervision and leadership to ensure seamless practice functions 
  • Leading recruitment, onboarding, training, appraisals, and mentoring of staff and practitioners 
  • Overseeing financial operations including payroll, budgets, allocations, and accurate record keeping 
  • Monitoring clinic safety, compliance, and adherence to SOPs, accreditation standards, and regulatory obligations 
  • Reviewing and improving systems, processes, and IT platforms, including Best Practice and Xero 
  • Facilitating regular team meetings, performance reviews, and staff development initiatives 
  • Collaborating with Regional and National Managers and other key stakeholders to achieve practice goals 
  • Supporting implementation of new systems, tools, and continuous process improvements 
  • Driving a patient-focused culture by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring positive patient experiences 

The Successful Candidate 

We are seeking a motivated, people-focused leader who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your professionalism, adaptability, and supportive leadership style will be key in fostering a positive workplace culture and driving the continued success of our centre. 
 
You will bring: 

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience, ideally within the healthcare sector 
  • A qualification in Business Administration or a Diploma of Practice Management (preferred) 
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service 
  • A genuine passion for people and a personable, approachable manner 
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a busy environment 
  • Proficiency in clinical software and the Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational needs 
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities 
  • Knowledge of Medicare billing processes and healthcare compliance (highly regarded)
