About the Role
With a number of exciting projects and developments in the pipeline, our Finance team at Ingenia is looking for a Development Accountant to provide support to the Finance team by business partnering with our Development Managers to assist with project accounting, financial management, budgeting and forecasting.

Key Accountabilities

  • Handling month-end accounting processes, including accruals, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Completing bank account reconciliations and journals associated with deposits, sales, and settlements on a weekly basis.
  • Reviewing settlement statements for the sale of manufactured homes.
  • Preparing commission calculations on a fortnightly basis for settlement payments in line with terms.
  • Assisting the Finance team with audit file preparation to support financial statements and disclosures.
  • Supporting the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly feasibility reviews.
  • Uploading and validating capex budgets in JDE.
  • Reviewing project cost coding allocations.
  • Tracking project cashflows against budgets and forecasts.
  • Assisting the Development and Sales teams with purchase orders and queries.
  • Managing system administration for projects, including job setups, DOA, and budgets.
  • Providing support for ad-hoc finance requirements, including process improvements.

About You
To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • A relevant University Degree and CA/CPA Qualification commenced or completed.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Development, working closely with Development Managers to analyse feasibilities and manage financials, including month-end, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Property/development industry experience (essential).
  • Experience with JDE or large ERP system desirable
  • A strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AAS) / AIFRS.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
