About the Location

Backing onto picturesque parkland and the Kororoit Creek Trail, Ingenia Federation Sunshine is ideally located in Albion, 14km west of the Melbourne CBD. The local area has plenty to offer in terms of amenity and services, from the Sunshine Marketplace shopping centre to the Sunshine Hospital, as well as nature reserves, a popular golf club and walking paths.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Grounds and Maintenance Officer to help keep our community in top condition. If you take pride in maintaining outdoor spaces, repairing facilities, and ensuring a welcoming environment for residents, this could be the perfect role for you.

This is part-time role, 30 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces (mowing, weeding, hedging, etc.).
  • Carry out general repairs and routine maintenance across the community.
  • Keep communal areas clean and tidy, including pressure washing and waste removal.
  • Safely store and maintain tools, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Assist with trade coordination and community event setups when required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in maintenance, gardening, landscaping or handyman roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve independently.
  • Great customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as required on a rotating roster.
