The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Maintenance Officer to join our team at Martha’s Point on a permanent part-time basis.
As a Maintenance Officer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our village by undertaking maintenance activities and providing excellent customer service to our residents. We are seeking a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a knack for problem-solving.
Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include;
- Coordinating and undertaking proactive and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections across the village
- Coordinate, supervise and liaise with external contractors as necessary
- Implementing and adhering to EHS procedures, ensuring safety at all times
- Address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently with great customer service and a genuine interest in assisting and working with the Elderly
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities using our program
- Assisting with various Adhoc duties where required
- Transporting residents for outings and shopping trips in the village bus
The Shifts
- Permanent Part-time
- 2 days per week
- Some flexibility with preferred days
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a residential maintenance of handyperson capacity
- Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple task
- Great customer service with a genuine interest in assisting and working with the Elderly
- Ability to supervise and liaise with trades
- A current Australian Light Rigid (or above) driver’s licence (or be willing to obtain)
- A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
- Basic computer skills
- The ability to take initiative and be pro-active.
- Natural problem solver whilst keeping safety top of mind
- The ability to work individually and in a team

Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.
Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October, with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles, pre-employment medical assessments will also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
