At Uniting, we’re committed to enabling people to live the life they choose at home and in their community. We’re seeking a Workforce Manager to lead our strategic workforce planning and ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time – so that every client receives consistent, person-centred care.

You’ll lead a team of Roster Officers and work closely with senior stakeholders across Home and Community Care to align workforce supply with organisational needs, new service demand, and long-term strategy. If you're someone who thrives on making things work better, sees the big picture, and wants to make a difference in the lives of older Australians – we want to hear from you.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Developing and managing a long-term workforce supply plan that supports future growth.
  • Overseeing forward rostering practices to maximise workforce efficiency and reduce travel time.
  • Collaborating with sales and service delivery teams to forecast workforce demand and ensure readiness for new clients.
  • Monitoring key workforce performance metrics and using data to inform decision-making.
  • Leading initiatives that continuously improve service delivery and align with Uniting’s broader strategy.
  • Embedding WHS best practices and fostering a safe, inclusive and respectful working environment.
  • Coaching, developing, and resourcing your team to deliver exceptional work and grow in their roles.
  • Partnering with the Head of H&CC and Transformation to turn strategic goals into tactical plans.
  • Staying on top of industry trends and regulatory changes to keep Uniting ahead of the curve.

What you’ll bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field – or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in workforce planning, with strong leadership and strategic skills.
  • A solid background in managing large, dynamic workforces – ideally in community or aged care.
  • Demonstrated experience in rostering/scheduling and improving workforce efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A knack for bringing people together and leading through influence.
  • A strong understanding of the Home and Community Care environment.
