Care Excellence - Care Excellence Lead
About the Opportunity
The Care Excellence Lead is responsible for leading a team of Allied Health and Clinical staff and will work collaboratively with clients, their families and the broader Home and Community Care team to embed best practice in the delivery of clinical services and education in the Neighbourhood Model of Care.
This will involve leading and facilitating the implementation of clinical policies and practices throughout our services in the Sydney Central area.
The position is primarily responsible for the provision of clinical expertise and advice, clinical risk management, quality assurance, and clinical governance.
In this role you will be responsible for embedding best practice in the delivery of clinical services and advice acting as a mentor, educator and advisor to the local HACC team. Leading and facilitating the implementation of clinical policies and practices throughout our local service. Instrumental also to leading our quality management system to ensure compliance with Aged Care standards and other relevant legislation.
This role will require 5 years or more of experience in your field of expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About you
Tertiary qualification in a Nursing or Allied Health Current Australian Health Professional Registration Authority (AHPRA) or other relevant regulatory authority
Well-developed understanding of contemporary Aged Care clinical practice and community-based service delivery
Experience in the Aged Care and/or the Health environment
Significant experience in mentoring and providing advice to team and employees
Confident in navigating and nurturing teams through ambiguity and change
Passion for social change and contributing to an organisation of influence for vulnerable, at risk and disadvantaged members of the community
Proficient in using multiple computer applications, as well as the willingness to learn new systems/programs
Current First Aid Certificate
Current driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
