Uniting are seeking to fill a position of a Clinical Nurse Consultant.  Based in the Sydney North region, this is a full time position which we are looking to fill immediately.

What do we need you to do?

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will be a key member of the Seniors Services operational leadership team, responsible for:

  • Providing expert clinical consultation, leadership, and support to enhance the quality of aged care services.
  • Leading initiatives that improve clinical practice and outcomes for older people, particularly those with complex needs such as dementia, frailty, or palliative conditions.
  • Supporting capacity building, workforce development, and continuous improvement across our aged care teams.
  • Influencing and guiding the implementation of best practice models in residential, home, and community care settings
  • Act as a subject matter expert in ageing and complex care across clinical governance, incident response, and care planning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to embed a culture of safety, quality, and innovation.
  • Drive professional development and mentoring of nursing and care staff.
  • Participate in audits, reviews, and strategic projects aligned with organisational goals.

What do we need you to bring?

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in gerontology, dementia care, palliative care or a related field. 
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership or a consultancy role within aged care or health services.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and change management skills.
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes and quality of life for older people.
