Are you passionate about horticulture and dedicated to enhancing natural landscapes? We are seeking two skilled operators to join our Open Spaces Team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and development of Porirua’s parks and reserves, ensuring they remain vibrant, welcoming, and well-maintained spaces for the community to enjoy.

As an Operator, you'll wield your expertise to keep our open spaces pristine. From precise spraying to vegetation control, you'll ensure our landscapes thrive according to the highest standards.

What You’ll Bring to the Table | Ngā Mea ka Mauria e Koe ki te Rūnanga:

  • Current Growsafe and Approved Handlers certificate. 
  • Must hold a valid Class 1 driver's licence 
  • Class 2 driver’s license would be a bonus 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Familiar with using small plant and spray equipment.   
  • Ability to work too and meet deadlines.  
  • Have a strong emphasis on health and safety. 
  • Ability to work independently and within the wider team.  
  • Physically fit and motivated to make a difference.
