Are you an experienced planner ready to make a difference in your community? Join our Planning & Development Solutions team as a Consents Planner and help deliver high-quality, customer-focused planning and resource management advice.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Provide timely, solutions-focused advice on planning and resource consents

  • Support statutory RMA processes, including hearings and Environment Court matters

  • Contribute to integrated planning solutions and service improvement projects

  • Manage risk and ensure compliance with relevant legislation

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement

What you’ll bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in planning or related field

  • Experience with the Resource Management Act and local government processes

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills

  • Proactive, customer-focused approach and commitment to teamwork

  • Knowledge of Tikanga Māori is an advantage
