We are looking for a skilled GIS Analyst to join our Business Support team. In this role, you will help improve how our Council uses technology by developing and maintaining GIS applications and integrating them with other business systems. You will work with spatial and non-spatial data to support analysis, modelling, and reporting. Training staff on GIS tools and finding ways to improve our systems will also be part of your work.

To succeed, you should have a tertiary qualification in a relevant business field or 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. IT qualifications and experience with online services are a plus. You will need strong problem-solving skills and experience with programming languages like C# and Python. Familiarity with Visual Studio, MS-SQL Server, and ESRI tools such as ArcGIS is important, along with good communication skills and an interest in improving processes.

Additional skills in JavaScript, CSS, software development lifecycle, and understanding of integrated IT systems will be helpful but are not required.
