The Active and Engaged Communities team play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of our community. We want to create outstanding spaces and places that provide the opportunity for our community to play and be active and feel safe, included and connected with each other within our unique environment.

 

If you are a creative Landscape Architect that has a passion for working collaboratively with the community to create a unique sense of connection and place, then this is the role for you.  We are looking for someone who is approachable and has strong interpersonal skills, pays attention to detail and has the ability to translate visions and needs of our community into designs within our open space network that are buildable, functional and efficient to manage throughout their asset life.

You will need to be motivated and manage your own workload while being flexible enough to also work as part of a passionate team of engagement and technical professionals in their respective areas of expertise in order to deliver project outcomes.  While working within the Active and Engaged Communities Team you will work across Council and connect with multiple departments including the District Development Urban design team to play an integral part in making Rotorua one of the world's great small cities.
