Role Purpose
As the Capital Delivery Controls Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Capital Delivery Project Dossier, capturing and verifying all project and programme information within defined timeframes. A key part of the role includes maintaining the Capital Delivery Gantt Chart, providing transparent oversight of scheduling and progress across all capital projects. You will also monitor contract timelines and purchase orders to strengthen financial and project management controls. This role plays a vital part in supporting the transition of completed assets by coordinating the collection and handover of Operations & Maintenance Manuals to the end user teams. Additionally, you’ll foster continuous improvement, build capability and embed best practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality business support to the Capital Delivery team, ensuring seamless operations and consistency across all projects.
  • Oversee project administration and ensure compliance with statutory and organisational standards.
  • Design and maintain efficient systems for project configuration, document control, and reporting.
  • Maintain oversight of project governance tools, including risk registers, change control logs, and issue management documentation.
  • Ensure data consolidation and visualisation through dashboards, Gantt charts, and other tools to enable informed decision-making.
  • Liaise with internal teams and corporate functions to support alignment with council-wide objectives and processes.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

  • Qualification in business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in high-level business support, ideally in capital works or project environments.
  • Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, and data reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and MS Teams.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Prince2, PMP, or Agile methodologies.
  • Background in finance or business analysis.
  • Experience in the public sector and an understanding of governance processes.
