We’re looking for a can-do kitchen superstar (aka Demi Chef), ready to step up as the #legend in our munch times at Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport.
You’ll redefine what it means to feel ‘chilled’ at the hotel’s dining haunt. Hailed as ‘the place to be’.

As Demi Chef, Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Food Production, Presentation and quality never slips below the standard – whether it be maintaining a clean and tidy workspace and equipment or ensuring food handling and storage is as it needs to be.
- You will ensure preparation of mise en place items for readiness of current and proceeding shift.
- Organisation is key and you will ensure your assigned section runs efficiently and smoothly.
- You will follow instructions from a senior chef, ensuring all food is prepared in and presented professionally and in line with set standards and guidelines.
- Ensure correct storage & labelling of all food items and assist with the cleaning of utensils and equipment.
- Report any equipment faults to maintenance department and keep lines of communication with other departments open.
- Understand and observe safe work practices (food safety and people safety) at all times and key an eye on your team-members and co-workers, helping to ensuring department is a safe workplace.
- Be available to assist in other outlets, sections, or sister properties as required.

Base salary from $71,311.50 per annum, excluding superannuation.
