Campus Student Support Assistant (Nelson)

OneSchool Global NZ is looking for a committed Student Support Assistant (Teacher Aide) to join our team at the Nelson Campus. This role focuses on supporting secondary school students, with a preference for candidates who have experience working with students requiring high needs learning or behavioral support.

About the Role:

• Work with a small group of students and on an individual basis throughout the day.
• Support students with their independent learning across a range of subjects.
• Assist in keeping students engaged, motivated, and on track with their learning goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure the best support strategies are in place.

What We’re Looking For:

• A caring and patient approach with a passion for helping students succeed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic and patient approach to their support 
• Ability to work independently while following structured learning plans.
• Previous experience working with students with ADHD and students who have behaviour and learning challenges, specifically secondary level (Year 7-13) is desired but not essential.

Role Details:

• Hours: 24 hours per week, starting at 8:30 am (Monday – Thursday)
• Start Date: As soon as possible.
• Fixed Term Contract until 12th December 2025, with possibility to be renewed. 
• Location: OneSchool Global NZ, Nelson Campus.
